Talent Intelligence

Napplied vs SeekOut

A full funnel is not a full pipeline. Once candidates are found, they still need a consistent, explainable evaluation. Napplied searches your ATS and talent pools. It is not an external talent database.

How to choose

Why Napplied

Choose Napplied if

SeekOut prices sourcing seats. Napplied prices the evaluation those seats still need: usage-based or a base subscription, not another talent database.

  • Your bottleneck is evaluating people you already have, consistently and with a trail.
  • You hire AI, security, AI-safety, or governance roles and interviewer time is the constraint.

Choose SeekOut if

  • Your bottleneck is finding hard-to-reach technical candidates outside the people you already have on file.
  • You want a dedicated sourcing database with a self-serve entry plan and a free trial. Confirm the current product on seekout.com.

Use both if

  • SeekOut fills the funnel. Napplied interviews and ranks who comes through. Many teams pair a sourcing tool with an evaluation layer. Ask us about the handoff.

More candidates, same number of interviewers.

Sourcing tools widen the funnel. The evaluation step is where scarce engineer time goes.

Ashby’s State of Startup Hiring puts interviewer time for a technical hire at about 21 to 29 hours, depending on company size. A structured first round is how that time gets spent on people who already cleared the same criteria.

Measured

Interviewer time for a technical hire is about 21 hours at startups under 25 people and about 29 hours at startups of 100–300. Ashby measured scheduled interview time, not take-home work. Ashby, State of Startup Hiring, 2026 Talent Trends

Scarcity raises the cost of a missed signal.

AI Engineer leads LinkedIn’s 2026 Jobs on the Rise list. Teams hiring that talent cannot afford a different interview for every candidate.

Napplied applies the same criteria to every candidate on the role and keeps the trail. It does not claim to be the database that found them.

Measured

LinkedIn’s 2026 Jobs on the Rise lists AI Engineer as the fastest-growing role in the United States, ahead of AI consultant and other AI titles. LinkedIn News, Jobs on the Rise 2026, 7 Jan 2026

Found is not the same as explained.

A sourced profile still has to survive a decision someone can defend.

Only 26% of applicants trust AI to evaluate them fairly, according to Gartner’s July 2025 survey. The trail is Napplied’s answer to that question. This page makes no claim about diversity outcomes.

Where SeekOut is stronger

A database built for discovery

SeekOut’s job is finding people you do not already have. Napplied does not claim to replace that database.

Sourcing workflow and outreach

A dedicated sourcing product is the right tool when the bottleneck is reaching people, not evaluating them. Confirm SeekOut’s current outreach features on their site.

Is this you?

  • Sourcing finds candidates faster than you can evaluate them.
  • Interview time for technical candidates is the real constraint.
  • Discovered candidates go cold waiting for a first conversation.
  • You cannot explain why one sourced candidate outranked another.
  • Your ATS holds past candidates worth re-screening.
  • You want find and decide to stay distinct steps, with a trail on the decision.

Questions buyers ask

Is Napplied an alternative to SeekOut?

Mostly no. They cover different stages, with overlap in search and, where SeekOut’s AI Screening add-on is used, early screening. SeekOut discovers external talent. Napplied searches your ATS and talent pools, then interviews and ranks.

How is Napplied different from SeekOut?

SeekOut is a discovery database. Napplied is an evaluation layer with a structured interview and an audit trail. Napplied is not a replacement sourcing database.

How does pricing compare?

Napplied publishes flexible usage-based or base subscription pricing on /employer/pricing. SeekOut publishes Sourcing Core at $149 a month billed annually or $179 month to month; larger plans are quoted.

Can I use both?

Yes. A sourcing tool can fill the funnel and Napplied can evaluate who arrives. Ask us about the handoff into your ATS before you wire the two together.

Does Napplied source candidates externally?

Napplied searches across your existing ATS and talent pools. It does not claim to be a standalone external talent database.

How we compare

Every page has a section on where the other product is stronger. Cells we have not sourced say “Not confirmed” instead of a convenient no.

A Measured or Published chip means a named third party or the vendor’s own page. A Vendor-reported chip is the vendor’s own claim about its product or customers, which we have not audited. A Custom pricing chip means the vendor does not publish prices. A Buyer-reported chip is not a list price. A Modeled chip is an internal projection, not an independently measured Napplied result.

Napplied does not sell coding tests, proctoring, payroll, or campus recruiting, so those categories are not compared here.
